Final front page

This is my final design to my front page of my magazine, after going through choosing numerous amount of different text styles and colours I finally decided that the text  and colour scheme I used suited the magazine theme very well. Since I was limited to the areas I could take my mid shot the area chosen wasn't what I would of liked to have, instead of what I used I would of liked to use a mid shot in the school hall so the it gives the impression of a 'vintage' shot which will give the reader more of an idea of what the magazine is about. Also with the front page picture the colours clash with the colour scheme I used for the magazine.

Overall I think my front page turned out rather well and gave me good practice for my music magazine.

Photos for magazine

Here are some pictures I took around the school for the magazine -

I took this photo in a tech classroom, it will be featured in 'Subjects' section of the magazine.

This photo was taken outside in the school courtyard, this can be featured in an 'Around the school' section in the magazine or could have a history of the school section where I would talk about when the school was built and what it originally was.

I would use this picture in a students section of the magazine, describing what the students do at Beaverwood and interviewing a few students about what they think of Beaverwood and what they hope to gain from going there.

Locations around school

Being a new student at Beaverwood it's hard to find locations around the school, but earlier today my media class was shown areas which will be a great place to take photos for the school magazine.

We was told about when to take the photos, what to do/remove to/from the area to make the setting perfect for the picture and also we was given ideas of what scenes to create when taking the photo.

When we came back we was told to choose our favourite area where we would like to take the photos and I had a few places I would consider taking photos there.......

The first place would be at the front of the school, I thought this would be a great place to model the school as it convays that the school is a welcoming place as it is the first thing you see when you come into the school, also there was great light shining down on it so this would give the picture great lighting and also give the photo full detail.

My second place would be 'The Courtyard' where we have the school surrounding a couryard with a tree in the middle. This would be a great place to either show students socialising, writing notes/ doing work, presenting themselves holding school equipment etc. Since this is the centre of the school we can easily get good light coming in from above which will make a great picture to take.

Overall there are many great places to take photos around the school, either becuase of the surroundings or how the light hits the area.
